Programme for Accompanying Persons
Those wishing to accompany delegates will be very welcome and a programme has been created for them to have a relaxing week, whilst enjoying some of the local and regional sights and facilities. There will be a delegated Administrative Committee member available to assist them and to accompany them on the day trips, who should be notified in advance of any specific dietary or other requirements.
This will include:
- A day trip to Cardiff, the Welsh capital, for sightseeing and shopping.
- A day trip to the Welsh Botanic Gardens.
- The Wednesday field excursion if desired.
- The University Sports Centre is available to accompanying persons.
together with the main symposium social programme.
Those just wishing to relax will find that the local beach and a city park are both directly outside the university campus and that the seaside village and resort of Mumbles is a short bus-ride away. Details will also be provided of local attractions which may be of interest.
